Krisp mutes or distorts laughter and loud speech

This started happening 2-3 months ago and happens consistently for a significant number of my friends, so I think it's related to a Krisp update. The noise suppression seems more zealous than before, catching sounds it's not supposed to and "half-muting" speech so it becomes distorted and unintelligible.
