email recovery process via text message

The fact that the only way you can change your email is through a code sent to you existing email (which I no longer have access to) is beyond annoying. I'm logged in on 2 different devices I know the password to the account. I know and am in possession of the phone associated with the account. Please give us the option to receive the code required to change the email over sms or via the Google authenticator that you already use for 2fa. This doesn't seem like it would be a tough ask to implement as you already have 2fa functionality build out that accepts Google authenticator codes. Steam and others already have this sort of feature whereby they send you a code via text and then you type in the new email. They then send a code to the new email for you to type in in order to verify that you have access to the new email.

    I even have the authenticator set up so I can freely log in and out of the accounts with the use of Google authenticator. The fact that I'm essentially stuck with an email I can't access is infuriating. and it really doesn't help that the app directs you to reach out to support for this exact issue and all I'm told is that they can't help with email changes despite the app directing me to contact them for that exact issue.
