    Agree. As an alternative to custom permission levels, I would suggest a three-setting switch. As the different layers of security interact, it becomes unclear whether a permission being "off" means explicitly deny, use default, or infer from parents. I would like to see a three-setting switch at all layers of security with options from left to right: "Deny", "Not Set", and "Allow".

    A three-setting switch like this should work well with the current security setup used by Discord throughout, while making the experience of configuring security on roles, categories, and channels much clearer for server administrators.
