Custom Emoji Broken on Mobile
I pay a decent amount of money for this Nitro thing. Granted, I get the Classic to save a few bucks, but that shouldn't mean I have to deal with not being able to use certain emotes because of what appears to be a slight emoji name conflict. I go to use an animated :Fire: emote, and instead of displaying a nice little animated blaze, it just displays the plain text :Fire:, :facts: gets broken by the presence of a :FACTS: emote from another server, multiple :wtf: emotes break each other, and many other similar issues occur. Meanwhile the desktop client seems to handle these 'name conflicts' just fine. What's going on, Discord? Why has this Nitro-related bug been so long standing? Honestly starting to make me feel like Discord doesn't value its users very much.

I haven't encountered this issue, but alternatively you could try searching up the name of the emoji in the emoji search menu and clicking on the one you wish to use.

I've tried that. When I hit the emoji I want in the emoji picker, it literally puts the plaintext version (ex. :Fire:) into the chat, and it doesn't actually get translated into emoji form. Everything works just fine on the Desktop (Windows 10 is my OS) client. The mobile client on my Android-based LG doesn't play nice, though.

I have been through that.
The main thing that is causing that it might have the same name of a Default Emoji or sometimes it has the same name of another custom emoji in the same server or in another server if this is the case try telling that to the servers that has this issue and make them rename the emoji0 -
The names are spelled the same in most cases, but there's capitalization differences. Default :fire: shouldn't conflict with :Fire: or :FIRE:, and yet it does. I'm just wondering why Desktop seems to handle it fine, whereas Mobile often feels like it's held together with rubber bands and bobby pins or something.
I often find myself wishing there was a Desktop Mode button somewhere in the settings...0 -
Looks like the latest Discord update actually solved this issue! No more name conflicts causing some emoji to be inaccessible on mobile!
