Disable sound notification for server but allow for DMs

When playing a game while Discord is in background, I don't want to receive sound notifications when people post messages in servers, but I do want to receive them if someone sends me a DM.

But I do still want badge notifications for the servers at the same time.

Currently it's not possible, because if I mute servers, I can't get badge notifications. But I don't want to turn off sound notifications, because I still want them for DMs.

    Go to the ‘Tweak Notification Settings’ option. and check the notifications you desire for direct messages, friends, etc. from the list. Toggling on all the options usually does the trick. It worked for me when I opened website.

    The best solution is to use "Do Not Disturb" (DND) mode in Discord, muting server notifications while keeping DM alerts. However, this won't provide badge notifications for servers. For the latest options, check Discord's current features.  website

    As of my last update in January 2023, Discord doesn't have a direct feature to customize sound notifications separately for server messages and direct messages. You can, however, globally mute server message sounds and rely on badge notifications for messages. Check the latest Discord settings for any new features introduced after my last update.

It would be fantastic to have the option to customize notification settings further, enabling users to prioritize important messages while minimizing distractions during gameplay.     "I totally get your frustration with Discord notifications while gaming! Have you tried setting up Notification Overrides? This way, you can mute server notifications while still receiving sound alerts for DMs. Badge notifications should still show for muted servers. Hope this helps!"
