i seem unable to edit my post, so addendum here. each pinned message should have a toggle for "allow to be seen even if "read message history off". maybe someone else can word that better than me 😅

Just noticed there's also a "copy message link" option near the "quote" option.Combining the two is so very close to exactly what I'd hope for in a "reply" feature.
