Bot API - Option to filter or define subset of values for Mentionable's (Channels, Roles, Users.. etc)

Hi,

I have a usecase where I would like to give the user of my bot the ability to configure things by themselves, but I want to limit their options and prevent overloading them with huge amounts of noise/options.

For example, in most cases our servers are filled with bot's, when I ask the user to select a member option as part of an interaction I don't really want to give them the ability to select a bot member.

So I come asking whether it would be possible for you to improve the existing api to filter or define a subset of some these mentionable types in for example the CommandOptions and ComponentTypes.

I can think of two approaches to this. The first is probably my preference, and the most sensible and flexible approach.

  • render mentionables in the string select menu (as it currently doesn't, see below).  
  • allow us to pass an option that will filter mentionable types (something like a regex).
