Don't have a cell phone, locked out now after over a year

The sign up said a phone number was optional, now it seems it's not. I am locked out for no reason now, and am required to add a cell number than was optional and still is if you make a new account. Pretty sure this is a breach of contract on Discord's behalf.

  Same here. Discord is looking at a class-action lawsuit because of their lack of adequate support to their userbase. I've been locked out of my Discord account as well, because it no longer accepts my password, it also doesn't accept 2FA even if I enter it correctly. To make matters worse, Discord refuses to accept my phone number despite the fact that I entered the phone number correctly. If any, I've lost all respect for Discord after using it for seven years.
