Discord Server Merging

Discord Server Merging would be great for having people of similar interests. People have explained why discord server merging would be a good idea, nobody explained how it would work, so here's how i see it would work.

Server Ownership would have to be reworked for 2 or more people, with both of them sharing the same permissions. How the servers would merge is one people would send an invitation to merge your server with theirs, with the 2 servers they want to merge, and they can keep any channels of both servers not deleting any messages. They could also add new channels. First a server template would have to be made, then send it to the person they want to merge servers which, and when they agree to merge servers, the members of both members would be introduced to the new server. And that's how the server merging would work.

    There would be a ton of issues with that:

    • Increasing the amount of server owners from 1 is almost definitely out of question. It'd be a very major change for everything: the API (which currently assumes there's 1 owner), customer support and trust & safety, programs such as partnership, functionality such as deleting the server or transferring the ownership, etc.
    • The ability to send "merge invites" to another server would need its own anti spam, blocking, etc.
    • The ability to "move" servers to a new one would also introduce a bunch of issues - the server id would change, which would cause things such as resetting the configs of all bots and notification/privacy preferences of all members, break all old message links, cause issues with server discovery and subscriptions, possibly also with boosts and managed roles, could cause problems with open support tickets and pending trust & safety investigations, and would probably break a lot of other internal stuff.

    as per my knowledge You can't merge multiple Discord accounts into a single account. Unlike some other social media platforms that allow and facilitate the merging of multiple accounts, Discord does not have any way to combine multiple accounts into one.
