Alt tabbing into Discord no longer focuses chat box

For a few years, I have been able to tab into Discord and automatically start typing into the chat box. In recent weeks, this feature has apparently been removed. This feature is very useful and removes the need of having to click on a small chat box every time I want to type a message. Please re-introduce this feature.
