[request] allow private channels in onboarding
i love onboarding, but it needs more customization before i can use it: in our server, members are manually verified with a @verified role and then given access to the rest of the server. so, while i'd like everyone to automatically have access to the various general channels of the server immediately after being verified, through onboarding that would be impossible without adding them all as questions, and even then it can only be controlled on a per-category basis (as opposed to per-channel).
it's a little clunky and awkward, and i fear it would be easy to mess up and make channels inaccessible without making use of 'browse channels' (which a lot of people don't know how to use yet), and easy for new members to get confused as well. so, i hope this will be improved for people who have more heavily moderated servers like mine 🙏

The only work around I've found to achieve are:
- Make a new Onboarding role which new members will apply (As the first question) during the Onboarding stage but deny the role's read/write permission for each server channel. Make sure the verified role has allowed read/write permission for all server channels as the allow permissions will have priority over the Onboarding role.
- Another work around is that you can set up Onboarding as it requires, after enabling it and setting it up, go back to the @everyone role and deny the permissions. Onboarding should remain enabled despite the big red warning telling you otherwise.
Hopefully they'll sort this out soon.

I deeply hope Discord will unable such settings. Like you, my server has a pretty strict manual moderation system.
What would be great is if Discord could make a command "/verify" which would take off/give base role and then show up the Onboard questions.
It would also be nice if they could add a setting so that some questions are only visible if you have some roles, or like make the question pop up when you get a specific role. For example, after some time in my server, you gain access to a new channel (with a role) where you can choose bonus channels to add to your list.I love this feature and I'm sad that I'm unable to use it currently.

This is really bad, i came to realize most members don't see all our channels, including our moderators! They need a default member role for the access but they apparently don't enable by default to actually see them. How could they know to go “Browse channels” to manually enable them all? Expected every member to do that??
So to fix this i need to go to server settings → Community → “Disable Community”?
Lets hope it becomes useable some day then.
