Blocked Messages feature seriously fails to protect vulnerable users

Right, I hate writing posts like this thanks to my anxiety, but enough is enough

There is a user on Discord who is in a server I'm also in.

He has repeatedly, and frequently made comments or encouraged others to make comments, with the sole purpose of trying to "make me rage quit the server" (I have a screenshot of a message sent to me by another user of that exact comment)

so I did the smart thing, I blocked this man

what an utterly useless excuse for a safety feature that is

not only can we still see each other's messages, but we can actually communicate on VC too!?

the block feature should be there to protect vulnerable people from harm, and protect everyone from undue distress while interacting in a community. IT. DOES. NOT. DO. THAT!

I've just been involved in an argument with the server's owner about the difference between "banter" and "attacks" after the blocked user made a very offensive comment regarding my Autism

A blocked user should be wholly and without exception INVISIBLE to the blocker, and vice versa

As far as i'm concerned this man shouldn't exist on my client... in the text channels, or the voice channels

he should have absolutely no path through which to access the person who has blocked him

If i join the same VC as him, his name should not appear in the channel, and his voice should never be transmitted to my client

If he sends a text chat, there should be absolutley no way for me to see what he has sent... and likewise he should never be able to hear or see me in VC, and in the text channels he shouldn't even see a "messege sent by blocked user" message... I should just be invisible!

Your service has caused me a whole year of undue distress as a result of this wholly INADEQUATE safety feature
