Enhanced Blocking Feature

While a blocked user cannot message the person who blocked them, they can still see their updated profile information such as profile picture, status, and username. If you and the blocked user are in the same Discord server, they can still send you messages, which further undermines the blocking feature. It is important for Discord to review and address this issue as it makes the blocking feature appear useless in certain scenarios.

I suggest that Discord enhances the blocking feature to prevent blocked users from seeing any updates to a user's profile or accessing their profile in a shared server. This means: consider changing the blocking feature to make our accounts completely nonexistent from the blocker's account. This is a feature that I have been more comfortable with on other platforms and I believe it would greatly benefit the Discord community.

I would like to suggest the implementation of additional blocking options, including the ability to block an individual and any subsequent accounts they may create. Such a feature would offer added safety and security to Discord users, as well as save time by preventing the need to block multiple accounts belonging to the same person. Additionally, this would mitigate the possibility of being deceived by a different user who may have previously been blocked.

These updated blocking features would provide users with more privacy and control over their account.

As a Discord user, I have personally experienced discomfort with the fact that blocked users can still see my updated profile, username, and status. I brought this up with the Discord Support team, and while they were unable to offer a solution at this time, I am hopeful that with enough votes, we can encourage Discord to add additional blocking options for the safety and privacy of its users.
