Please Don't Support Markdown Links.

Markdown links in wikis, and where people have the ability to preview links, are a fantastic idea.  However, on Discord, I don't have the benefit on desktop of hovering over a link to see where it goes, and I definitely don't have that ability on mobile.

Enabling Markdown link syntax will give scammers a much easier attack vector to scam people out of money and accounts, problems that people really don't need while trying to engage with their friends and guildmates.

 

Please seriously reconsider this feature.

  For real, Discord understand the issue and seem aware about scammers. When you click a link, they shown the redirection url witch is make sense to prevent users to accidently click on pishy sites. Here a example of this pop-up when they updated the markdown features. 
  
  This may help a bit to understand where they goes. Only Discord links seem to be ignored at last.
