Literally no benefits to the new username system

As others are pointing out, there is no reason to implement and replace the former username system. The benefits and reasoning to implement the system seems like lies for whatever reason you guys have made up. There are NO benefits and contrastingly many MORE reasons it is bad. Some people are even getting targeted now because of their "unique" username that you guys wanted people to have. 
I'm eagerly waiting for any other viable alternatives to discord if this horrendous updates are going to be happening, and I will leave it asap when there is.

  real. commenting to boost. discord doesnt give a fuck about their existing users and they're just trying to gentrify their app into twitter or instagram. they must have a new annoying marketing team or something, striving for "new users! we need new users!" while taking the biggest fattest shit on their roots.
