Why is discord needing my credit card for the one free month of nitro

I'm 15 and I don't have a credit card. My mom did not allow me to use her credit card for the promotion. Can you claim it without a credit card?

    sorry mate, this is a money grab not a "free" promotion. they automatically sign you up for monthly nitro.
    thats why they want your moms credit card.

    You can use your PayPal account to purchase a subscription. You can fund PayPal by bank transfer or prepaid cards.
