Starting Events with a Voice Channel buggy

Starting an event from the Events listings that is hosted in a Discord voice channel starts the event, but seems to inhibit any input from the member starting the event. Every time I've started an event from the listings recently, I've had to disconnect from the associated voice channel and rejoin outside of the event listing to have voice input work correctly.  Audio seems to work fine. Undetermined if “joining” a voice channel through an active event listing behaves similarly.
