At this point, if you're account was jacked and they wanted money, if you REALLY want the account back, just pay the ransom. At least you'll have peace of mind afterwards and not be stuck stressing out for 2 months straight.

Krrgoodwin Nah mate, cost 500aud worth of btc and some ppl who got tricked by the same plot like me already said online even after they paid the money they simply got blocked, paying the ransom might not always work. Meanwhile, there's one particular saying she flirted her way back into her account with the scammer, idk how or what happened.

Krrgoodwin  This happened to me, roughly the same time as you posted. It was my 2nd ticket, my first closed with the exact same reason.

I got hacked on March 18th due to my email being breached (I'm careful so I am still unsure as to how this happened). 2FA disabled, password and email changed. I was going to just give up until I sent in a 3rd ticket, more strongly worded and with literally as much evidence as I could source. And within 15 minutes they had reverted it and I had full access. I lost my servers and friends but I am in the process now of recovering it all.

What was strange was that this time with my 3rd ticket, the Clyde bot had sent me an email just as i submitted my ticket stating the account had been disabled whilst they investigate, and to ensure I don't have a new account associated with the previous email of my hacked one. The previous two tickets never had this, only messages saying it had been escalated. Then low and behold within the next 15 minutes at 02:08 (BST), “Nelly” responded stating it had been reverted and I had access again, I just had to reset my password.

I've never known a support team react so quick after submitting a ticket, but it is strange as to how this couldn't have been done two weeks ago when I first reported my account being hacked. It would've prevented the damage done. I understand they are backlogged and understaffed. Oh well, I'm grateful to have it back. I'm hoping for the same outcome for you my friend.

I agree if they were quicker about at least locking accounts, it would reduce the tickets. My hacker went on my account to hack 4 more people…. thats four more (that i know of) in a months long queue. Holy @#$. This whole forum is dissapointing.

There's a guy a few messages below posting his driver's license begging for help. Like they should take that down because it's personal information but they just can't be bothered. Part of me wonders if they are like outsourcing their CS to India or something cause this all reminds of that 2000's company trend.

They have you call in to support only to have your situation escalated with a call back at a future time, then they never call back. Then when you contact them again they are like “oh  hey yea just describe your problem again” only to be cycled through the queue for an eternity and your specific problem is never solved. Actually it feels worse than that… This is some really messed up stuff

And like.. it's really messed up that OP waits MONTHS. MONTHS of waiting and they can't even be bothered to like contact him directly? to get more information or something? thats so messed up.

    Discord Support is a joke!

received the same “support”. Account was hacked and attempts to either reclaim the account or delete the account were met with automated messages from the support team which are literally useless.

Update: There was a fraudulent charge from Discord through Paypal. I just looked through their billing support ticket options, and this sticks out like a sore thumb:

Is every aspect of this company purely anti-consumer? WHY WOULD YOU EVEN THINK TO DELETE THE ACCOUNT IF ITS BEEN COMPROMISED AND THE USER IS ACTIVELY TRYING TO GET IT BACK?!

    This is HORRID customer service.

I cannot handle this. My old account was for so long and I have so much on it.

    ANOTHER UPDATE!
An account named Nelly sent an automated message today, stating that they needed the old email to be freed up. If your account got compromised and the hacker made a new account with your old email, recover the account and change the email on it immediately!

    Here's the message:

It is quite different from the message I got from a support person named Ralph Wiggum (A Simpsons reference for sure).

Glad they are responding to it but idk why it had to take 2 MONTHS that's insane. Hours are what matters with hackers… 2 months is crazy. Basically hackers can do whatever they want on discord cause support is so slow.

Krrgoodwin so did you get the reply on the same ticket or did you write another ticket?

Alex90 This response was from a new ticket. Unfortunately, their ticketing system (whatever they're using) doesn't have the option to re-open tickets from the user's end.

Krrgoodwin  Ah ok since my friend got his account hacked and from the two tickets he sent they both resulted in being closed with the “we are unable to provide any additional information or support via this channel” message.
