Request to Hide a User

Hello! I was thinking about this, I'd love to see the ability to hide posts from certain users. Similar to the block function where it says “this post is from a user you have blocked” I'd love to do that just without the consequences of having blocked them. I don't want them to know they were blocked, I just don't want to see their content anymore unless I click on the thing.

    I understand your request! While Instagram doesn’t provide a direct way to hide individual posts from specific users without blocking them, there are a couple of workarounds you can try:

    Block the User: If you want to hide your posts, videos, stories, and your entire account from someone, you can block them. Once blocked, they won’t see any of your profile content or be able to send you messages. To do this:

    Make Your Account Private: By switching your Instagram account to private, only approved followers can see your posts. New followers will need your approval before viewing your content. To set your account to private:

    Hide Your Stories: You can choose specific people to hide your Instagram Stories from without blocking them or making your account private. To do this:

    • Launch Instagram on your phone.
    • Select your profile icon in the bottom bar.
    • Tap on the three dots in the top-right corner.
