New Desktop UI is terrible
This new UI, admittedly, feels like someone who just learned CSS decided to practice on Craigslist, and failed. I'm sorry. It's true. You could have given me V 1.0.0 Skype layout and I think I'd throw up less. I get actually sick with the way you've laid out this system and the topbar wasting space to try and label where I am feels like baby's first header tag.
I think I'd legitimately prefer if you got rid of dark mode. Removing this shouldn't just be a priority, it ought to be the whole company motto.
I'm sorry to be that way. I'm legitimately all for new designs and the last several changes have been appropriate, to an extent. Admittedly you guys have had a few dead releases. But this?
This feels like your big boss is obsessed with how Windows 11 apps look. News Flash, anyone with working braincells wants to beat the people who design those UI elements. Don't get in that line.
The top left server identifier is useful, it invokes a nice identity, and it doesn't pull my eyes away from a functional portion of the screen if I need to double-check where I am. I look up to the top of the screen when I want to close the app, and that's exactly what this UI invokes in me. A total closing of the app, moving back to TeamSpeak, and forgetting Discord was ever a thing I enjoyed. I'd be ashamed to admit I have an account at this rate.
Shameful display, Discord team.
