I didn't see this anywhere but I am part of several RP pages on Discord and it would be nice to be able to have a custom avatar per server. You can change your name on a server but not your avatar. People tend to recognize people by their character, and being able to show each character on each server would be nice.

Mine is Upvote number 1,567! Discord should put their bugs on GitCoin, so we users can vote for this feature request with crypto-micropayments and let their bounty-hunting programmers fight over over who can fix it the fastest!

Also could just work well if someone has real life friends in one server and internet friends in the other.

I would love this feature, since I'm in different communities for different games, and I get questions about my profile pictures a lot, so to just have them be appropriate per server would be a huge boon

How many more votes does this need to become implemented? It's looking like there are plenty of users interested in this feature. I'd personally love to see this option as easy to change as your nickname per server. What do you say, Discord??

I think this feature isn't a priority for Discord, yet. I do believe that enough people, continuing to voice their support, could affect change and make this feature a reality.

I'm pleased to see users are still interacting with this post, despite its age.

There are a ton of servers out there that have specific rules as for avatars, and I don't like changing my main avatar for one server, so I end up leaving a good server. This would be veeeery helpful.

Yes please! Not even for RP purposes. I just have different servers - IRL friends servers where I wanna show my real face, WoW servers where I want to show my nightborne, web game and mobile game servers where I want to show my favorite character, FFXIV servers where I want to show my own character. It could just be in the server settings and have it override your default avatar for that server.

I truly think it is a good idea even though if your in most servers from the same franchise you should at least allow the users to have a option to change their pfps for curtain servers

yeah kind of like nickname perms, if you have a role with perms to change your nickname, it should be with the profile picture as well.

I'm not even roleplaying on Discord like a lot of folks here; I just have servers based on different game communities, and having my ingame avatar available per server would be so helpful, in addition to the option of just changing my nickname to match my ingame name.

Great idea! My current profile picture doesnt exactly work in a couple of my servers. Your profile picture should be able to go with your nickname instead of your username.

I really hope Discord takes a look at this suggestion. I would love the ability to use different Avatars depending on what Server I'm on, it'd be very helpful and allow me to use less 'general' avatars so that they fit in with the many different servers.
