Nested Categories
Please add a function where you can add categories in categories so one could organize their server somewhat like so:

↓ Music

↓ Gaming
↓ Minecraft

I recently thought of an option for a very wide-purposed discord server, with a whole lot of channels. Since they are so hard to navigate without Nested Categories, one option would be to make a #contents channel right at the top of your server, where you can make a pretty markdown message with channel mentions so people can easily get to them. until nested categories are a thing, this is one solution (not a good one but it's better than nothing).

this is something I have often desired, second to eliminating word count, but high on my desire list as it would save a ton of clutter, even eliminating the need for 2 of my other discords

This would make me far more likely to get the nitro subscription. I could combine the separate servers for each of my weekly rpg games, and boost them all to level 1 with the one subscription. Currently I just don't bother, because I would need to get 4 extra boosts to cover the three servers, and that just isn't worth it.

I have been waiting for this for years. Discord is a godsend, nut just for communication and games, but for organization too. I use a private server to store all sorts of information, including (ner moment) all the information from my physical 5e D&D books.

As you like to support communties, and as there now is even a new programm which focuses on supporing communities for a while (specialy the big ones) this function should be a no brainer to help communities to organise in a better overview layout to make users and communty members have a better experience.

I like this idea. It's quite clear that the nesting would need to be capped at around 3 or 4 levels. However, I also realize that actually implementing it might be open to complications because of how the current, single-level category system is tied with the permissions system.

Since the comments on this are all pretty old*, I'm bumping it! I run a play by post roleplay server with a unique thread system so we can keep people from getting stuck in threads, and a nesting option for categories is a feature that would make running those kinds of servers way easier, even if it's just one layer deep.
EDIT: Once I posted this it showed me the other users who bumped it, rip.
