guys if u want to search only by user name go discord hub, it will be pain as u will find hundreds n may be thousands of the same user name but it worth a shot, i gave my username to someone but server disconnected before i gave her my 4 digits,

If you have previously chatted with them on Discord, request your data and then search /messages/index.json for their username and it will show you their tag and ID.
If this doesn't work because they changed their name, you can try searching by message content (requires linux/WSL and is much more complex)
Little more in-depth on message content:
1. Request data and wait for email containing .zip file
2. Extract .zip file to discord-archive folder
3. Open the folder, and then open "messages"
4. Hold shift & right click, then select "Open linux shell here" (You need WSL)
5. Type grep -Ri "message content" to return all messages with that content.
6. After locating a message you may think is to them, copy the number string on the far left (example: 514345707796930570/messages.csv)
7. Search for this number in /messages/, and open the matching folder
8. Open the channel.json and then copy the "recipients" ID; the last one is yours, and the first one is theirs. (if it says text, it's a channel and not a DM)
9. In a Discord channel, put <@pasted ID> and it will show the ping of the ID. If it's right, great, if not, repeat.1 -

Searching for friends on Discord solely by username can be frustrating. While Discord's ID system is crucial for identity, it can complicate reconnecting. A search feature based on usernames alone would greatly ease this process. In the meantime, tools like pfpfinder offer some help like banners and gifs.
