Please make it harder to delete individual posts on mobile

It's really easy to delete posts accidentally on mobile because
1. There is no confirmation prompt
2. The button to delete is close to the button to edit

I'd like to see a confirmation prompt added on mobile so that it is harder to unintentionally delete messages.

 

EDIT: So it is a thing on iOS? It certainly doesn't seem to be a thing on Android. I checked on both the latest stable version and the latest beta version on Android, and neither prompted me to delete my message. Is this something wrong on my end?

    There is a confirmation prompt though. At least on iOS.
    I hold down on the message, tap delete, and a confirmation comes up asking if I am sure I want to delete the message, yes/no.

    Hmm, there certainly doesn't seem to be a prompt on Android in my experience.

    There is no confirmation prompt on Android. I just accidentally deleted something and I'm an admin on a big server, which makes me want to not use the thing at all. Thing is, I'm not on my laptop all day long and the mobile app is the only way for me to get things done on the go.

    Please add a confirmation before deleting something in android mobile discord, I've been accidentally deleting posts that I was only intending to add a reaction to.

    This is not an issue on iOS because to pin a message or add a reaction, you must long press on the message to bring up a bunch of options which have large buttons. The pin and react buttons are not next to each other. If the pin message button is pressed, it will ask you if you really want to pin the message. I have included screenshots of this process.

    EDIT: these images appear huge for some reason and I can't appear to make them smaller.

    I can confirm that on Android v8.3.3, pinning does not prompt you for confirmation, and the Pin button is adjacent to Edit for your own message and Add Reaction for others'. I often find myself calling even more attention to a typo'd message I'm trying to fix by fat fingering Pin, which is frustrating.

    This is ridiculous, that Android mobile app is missing a crucial confirmation prompt! The amount of accidental deletions is horrendous. If the deletion could be undone, it would be different.

    As an admin on a 1000+ members server, and Android user, this makes me a real liability for the server. This is not a small issue and I really don't understand why Discord keeps on ignoring this!

    The problem I think with adding something like this is if you’re trying to bulk pin or pin lots of messages you’re going to get annoyed if you have to enter a pin code over and over again that’s also the reason why discord asks you if you actually want to pin a message and you can click you do or don’t

    Here to bump this and add my list to the voices screaming into the void: This pisses me off.

    I have accidentally deleted messages a few times now, and all I was doing was trying to access someone's profile, this is extremely frustrating and unnecessarily easy.

    Recently you updated desktop at least on PC to be able to use shift to by pass the prompt, and I like that, there ARE times were the fast delete offered by mobile was useful. But, If I am just trying to access a profile, or just pin something, or not even anything at all, and my screen flips or the pop up opens and my thump happens to be right where the delete is, there is nothing I can do.

    That is rather poor UI design, it should not be possible to do an undo-able action instantly and accidentally potentially without even noticing sometimes. Yes. It's also happens so fast it's entirely possible I could NEVER notice it happened. That's REALLY bad.

    Please for the betterment of this program, change this asap!
