Adding an option for non-recurring Nitro

This is a topic that I believe many Discord users would agree with. Since the current Nitro subscription is one that requires recurring monthly payments, why not add an option where the payment is not recurring? I brought this topic up in some server's I'm in and some members agree that it would be nice to have an option to subscribe to Nitro without the recurring payments since people forget to cancel their subscriptions and end up losing a lot of money.

    Nitro Gifts make this possible, since you can buy one of those and then use it on yourself. So it's a sort of workaround for now.

    I don't think that it's possible to gift yourself Nitro, because I tried doing that. But either way, it would be useful to have an option to subscribe without the auto-recurring payments.

    The only Nitro Gifts you couldn't use on yourself were the HypeSquad Nitro Gifts, which have now pretty much all expired. Other than that you can use a Nitro Gift - and a Game Gift on yourself.

     

    I would like to see the option to properly set up a non-renewing Nitro though!

    I would opt for it as there are some period in a year that i invest more time in game so i dont mind paying for nitro.

    Now i gotta remember to cancel subscription after 14 days if i require 1 month of nitro only. Quite a hassle for me but if nitro allows non-recurring subscription it will really help me out. 

    Perhaps if we get enough attention on this topic, discord team would implement it?

    I only see the option to do monthy recurring payments, also when you want to gift to someone elses server... I really like once off subscriptions so I can just decide when I want a temporary boost without having to think about stopping the recurring payment.

    I wouldn't mind if a once off payment is slightly higher than the recurring payment as that stimulates people to go for the recurring payment plan if they are using it more frequent.
