Make it so that those with the admin permission can automatically see spoilers, therefore preventing misuse of the spoilers feature

I'd love a "show all spoilers on screen" button, so I can see what is currently being discussed.

Yeah I also made it a feature request before I saw this post https://support.discordapp.com/hc/en-us/requests/3990590

I hope they will listen :D

I also made a feature request. The potential for abuse is quite worrisome.

No, that would be a horrible feature. Forcing people to automatically see through all spoilers would bypass the point of spoilers entirely. There's much better ways to do this, which I've discussed in my recent suggestion.

Or an option in Server Settings like 'Disable Spoilers'

New spoiler settings are available on the latest Canary build under User Settings -> Text & Images, restart your client!

The point of this is being able to effectively moderate. This feature would extend to moderators or admins. I can understand this bypasses the feature but the option to manipulate a feature should be given to the admin or owner of the server if it interferes with there ability to do there job. You could also simply disable spoilers in specific channels or even the entire server if it doesn't fit the needs of the server in question. But basically any feature that inhibits moderation should have someway of bypassing or adjusting so that it can be worked around.

Is there any word from the higher-ups on the ability to disable it on your server as a whole?

If implemented, I think this ought to be a settings option (show all spoilers as plaintext / hide spoilers as per normal) per user account.  Not a role-wide setting that's out of individual admins' control.

There is! Go to settings -> Text&Images and scroll to the bottom

Since it's a form of mark-up, wouldn't that be somewhat like asking to be able to disable boldface server-wide?  I realize it's a bit different, but it seems as though the account settings (show me all spoilers) will address the issue sufficiently.

Looks like (at least on PC) this is now available as an account setting.

    Where? I don't see it.

    https://support.discordapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022320632-Spoiler-Tags-

Near the bottom of the page under "Bold of you to assume I fear spoilers"

Apparently anyone can set their account to reveal all spoilers, not just admins.  Seems to work for me.

Thank you. It turned out I had to close the client and restart it to see the feature.

People are using it to be annoying in some servers by marking each individual letter as a spoiler.  It also interrupts people that are tabbed away, especially gaming while looking at discord on another monitor and voice chatting replies.  It really should be able to be disabled within specific channels.

also some bots do not check spoiler tagged texts which means banned words are able to be said.
And since smaller servers can´t constantly have moderators on who check every single message it would mean the bot can´t do that work for them.

No idea why it was added in the first place, now people are just spamming the n word in spoilers so filters don't pick it up form bots. Whoever suggested this needs to be shot.
