Server rules ID functionality

I've been more involved with server creation, setup, and moderation these past few months and there's one gripe I have when it comes to rules. If I make a rules channel/message, I need to either screenshot or quote rules when necessary. What's more is that rules can become buried in some servers. An idea I had came in the form of an ID system. How feasible would an ID system akin to channels and roles be for rules or any chosen post for that matter? It would be nice to simply reference this hypothetical "ID" that would either link, quote, or post the desired rule when the ID is put in a message. This also has the potential to be used for auto message with bots for instances such as profanity filters, auto response, and more. I think I speak for a lot of moderators when I say this would help enforcement and community mitigation a lot.

  You can currently get the link to a message if you have developer mode turned on, just right click the message you want. It doesn't embed the message or anything fancy, but clicking on it does take you to that message in a server.
