A recommendation for rendering.
I've had a recurring issue lately, where discord'll slow down immensely with animations and video playback, thus putting a painfully large load onto either my CPU, or my GPU (depending if i have hardware acceleration on or off).
What i personally suggest is making it so users can choose what parts of discord's rendering are put onto the GPU/CPU.
What i mean by that is to allow putting images and video playback on the GPU, basic html elements onto the CPU, animations onto the GPU, and video chat elements on the GPU (it would best suit my pc and i assume others may benefit similarly).
I assume the best way to execute that would be to let the users individually set what is used, and as such improve performance.
(also you should add an 'apply' button to the settings for it so as to not change one option then restart, rinse and repeat a few times)

Hmm what discord client are you on? Because it’s known that there is zero hardware acculturation in canary currently

You seemingly didn't understand what i was requesting as a feature for discord.I'll simplify it for you.
I want there to be separately rendered parts of discord, and as an example to show what i mean:
- Video and images using hardware acceleration
- Text and basic HTML using software rendering
- Animations and more complicated parts of HTML to use hardware renderingBut a more viable option would be to allow users to manually select what is rendered by what, making it so there is less background activity from discord on any one rendering device.

Hmm I mean it was a general question but well I can see why that would be handy... the whole reason I asked is because if your first line which had been a issue brought up by lots of people on canary since hardware acculturation doesn’t exist there currently

Better compatibility with the browser version (no download/in-browser) for all browsers currently in use would be the more likely approach to eliminating issues on any platform while minimizing coding needed. Right now, on the Xbox (Xbox Edge Browser), the in-browser client fails to load the website properly. This causes the website to just spin the loading icon forever... Wished this would get fixed. UWP would the BEST way to include it on Xbox - While we are talking about compatibility and inclusion to Discord across platforms.
