No notifications for incoming messages on phone

I have set everything so I will get notified when I get a message. It is supposed to make a sound and pop up for ALL messages It worked only once! And that was right after I set it up How is this possible that even discord exist for years, that this has never been fixed I keep missing important messages because of that unless I keep myself glued to my phone When will this be fixed?????
