3 months of Xbox Game Pass - what a waste

Hello,

Today I noticed a gift in my inventory for 3 months of Xbox Game Pass. I would like to respond to this.

First up: if this is a sponsored deal from Microsoft, I'm glad Discord was funded such a large marketing stunt.

Second: if Discord paid for all of these subscriptions en masse, even at a discount, I would be sorely disappointed. Keep the money you spent on it, however small the amount. I personally won't even click the "Claim" button.

Perhaps Discord could focus on what Nitro users chose to pay for. Like the latest upgrade to 60fps source screen sharing: now that turned Nitro from a 8/10 purchase into a 9/10 purchase for me. And such updates are what will keep me purchasing more yearly subscriptions.

I know this post only contains my singular opinion, I just really felt like this Game Pass was way off target.

P.S.: I personally wouldn't mind small in-app polls about which direction Discord should take. Gathering feedback before you decide to do something will make everybody happier. The majority definitely doesn't scour these feedback pages.

Just tried to claim it actually and apparently if you are/were a subscriber to game pass already you can't even claim it.

So my guess is Microsoft just tossed a bunch of 3 month free trials at discord since that's where gamers are.

That's so biased, you can litterally give it to a friend if you don't want it. Microsoft is gnerous enough to give you free games for 3 months with your nitro and you think it was a bad Idea? Most people up use discord are gamers
