image metadata not handled correctly, breaks image uploading.
С ответомon android 9(samsung galaxy note 8) discord app version 9.6.0 I had some issues uploading edited images to share as a chat message, all related to incorrect use of metadata.
bad behaviour 1: when an image has a title, the title is used in place of the file name.
not such a bad idea, except it'll also use the title in place of a file name.
this means an image with the filename "123456.jpg" but the title "123456edited" will not be uploaded as an image, but as a bin file with the name "123456edited.bin".
this means that I need to alter the title of any image I share to include the extension, something that should not be necessary as a file title is no place for filetype information.
this occurs both in the quick "recent images" screen and when selecting images using an external file picker.
bad behaviour 2: the rotation data in an uploaded image is being selectively ignored, which means you never know wether an image will retain its current orientation when shared.
bad behaviour 3: the quick "recent images" screen will randomly choose to honor or ignore the rotation data, so images that have been rotated using a rotation tag will jump between correct and incorrect orientations when refreshing the list of recent images.
