status/playing game overlay in chats

I think that it should show the status of the user you are sending a dm. Maybe next to their username on top of the chat. Like somewhere near the yellow in the picture attached (yes I know it's a mess). Sometimes I want to know what game my friend is playing without looking at his profile. you could just look at the section with all your dms. But I think that it would be cool to see it up there.
