"New" messages and auto-scrolling
For context: I use discord on a second monitor while playing games/browsing the internet etc.
When reading a busy discord chat while not having discord as an active window, it stops scrolling when "new" reaches the top (I assume so that I don't miss any messages). However I am reading when discord is in the background.
In order to follow the conversation in busy chats I now would have to click off what I'm doing to make discord my active window about once a minute to scroll myself (more if images are posted). This makes the red "new messages" bar reset which is also distracting in itself.
The previous version of showing what was new was less intrusive and didn't hinder people reading an active chat while playing games, I want that back.

This is an awful and pointless change. There was already a "New Messages" marker previously to show you where the message you last read was, so you wouldn't miss reading anything new. There is simply no reason to halt the auto-scrolling as you have done now.
Please re-enable auto-scrolling when Discord window is not the active window.
