Downloading discord
every time I try download it it comes up with installation has failed
there was a error while installing the application.
check the setup log for more information and contact the author
has anyone had this problem please help if you know how to fix this.

Idk if the current update are corrupted or not, i’m stuck in downloading, and then checking update, then installing 1 of 1, and go back to downloading again, and repeat ☹️3 -

Same. Discord on desktop was working fine for the longest time. But when I went to it, nothing happened. I uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted my PC, and there's nothing. For now, we will have to use browser/mobile Discord.

I have the same error like a week ago when I tried to open discord I got html failure then I uninstalled it, But when I tried to reinstall it I just got that error.

Hi, I'm also having a similar issue. Having to reinstall it due to failure of the app and now not able to it's rather confusing. Hope this can be fixed soon, thanks.

I am also having the same issue!!! I had an issue with my already downloaded app so I deleted it with the intention to re-download it but it has not successfully downloaded for the better part of a month.
Though currently the web browser works fine.

I've been trying to get this downloaded after using the web browser for about a year. it shows up as installed, but I enter and get an installation failed message. I try to delete it, and my computer says it doesn't exist. No amount of re-downloads seems to help, maybe the people here can?

Me too. Devs have to focus on this error more than updates. I have been seeing more updates then bug-fixes and error fixes happening

If Discord wants to be a successful company, then I suggest to them that they focus on errors than just plain updating their system.
