No notification sounds while playing games
Hello, I'm having an issue for weeks, Basically when I'm playing World of Warcraft or any games, I'm not receiving any sounds from notifications, I have Overlay on, I can see notifications on there, but just no sounds at all. I tested it on different games, same issue. But it happens when I play game. Like when I'm on chrome or something else, I can hear notifications, but no overlay, think it is because of I'm on desktop
So I tried to disable overlay, I started to receiveing sounds from notifications, but thingy is I dont have overlay so. I cant have both of them :c
I'm here for report this issue, think I'm the only one who has this issue and I literally have no idea how to fix this!

I had this issue many months ago and when I sent it to support along with a video, they said the behaviour was intended, and then shortly after it stopped happening. Still no fix for this... a chat app without notifications is not a chat app. Doesn't even work in windows, outside of games.

I can confirm that Alex D's comment is accurate, regarding getting the sound to play again after disabling "Show Text Chat Notifications". It is dumb that those are forced to be mutually exclusive. I really want both turned on at the same time.

I am still not getting notification sounds. Is this fixed?

Just switched over to Windows 10 for my new PC and came across this problem. It was working fine in Windows 7. I tried adjusting every setting I could think of and nothing worked except to turn off overlay. Please fix.

This is so annoying. It's been so long, and they still didn't fix this. I always miss texts cause I didn't look at my screen for a minute or two and miss the pop-up. This is obviously bothering a lot of users and I don't think this would be extremely hard to fix. Discord just doesn't give a shit sadly...
