HELP!! Banned, but not actually banned.
Hi all,
I desperately need help! I don't know what to do, this morning I verified my phone number on my account which has been active since 2018, and joined a server. Whether this is related of not, I don't know, but in case it was I thought I should put it in. So I was looking through the discord app on my iPhone and suddenly I realised that a server which I had been a long time member of had disappeared from my servers list. I immediately contacted an admin of the server, thinking I had been banned, but he said it showed up that I had left and nobody had been banned. I tried to rejoin the server, and it says 'invalid invite: you have been banned'. Myself and the admins have been trying for hours to fix it and nothing has worked, I managed to get on the server under a new account, but even now I can't get in on my proper one. I would greatly appreciate any advice as we are at a loss and I can't bear to keep on switching accounts when I haven't even been banned on the first one, just prevented by Discord from rejoining a server I never wanted to leave, which I greatly value.

Hello!! I have just figured out a solution to this problem. Please go to your File Explorer and type in the address bar: %APPDATA%/Discord/Cache
Please delete everything in that cache folder, but not the cache folder itself. This shall fix your problem! Make sure discord is CLOSED and not running to clear the cache folder.0 -
I just got the discord app because I was invited to a server. I tried clicking the link and it said that I was banned and the link had expired although the person that invited me just sent it a few minutes ago. I tried making a new acc and go on the link again, which also resulted in the same problem as well.. does anyone have any solutions to this? I’ve been reading the other comments but I have no idea which ones actually work!

I just got the same problem!!!! PLS FIX IT!
I activated 2FA and as soon as I verified my phone ONE of my 10 servers dissapeared from my list! I activated it at 17:11 my time, I did it on my pc and then I re-logged in on my phone, and by 17:14 the server was gone!
I am not in 100 servers, I have not been banned and I have no alt accounts (ie my IP has not been banned).
To the admins & owner it says that I left in their logs (the admins have given me screenshot proof of the Dyno log of me "leaving") but I did not leave - I'm sure of it! They obviously didn't ban me since we are friends and they have tried to re-invite me. When they try to send me a new links to their server it says "invalid invite - looks like you've been banned" or "invalid invite - the user is banned from this guild". I have tried restart, relog, clearing cache - nothing worked..

Deina It only worked once. I did that and I could join the server again. But once I verify my phone, I automatically got banned again. I asked the admin and owner again but they said I'm not banned.

Hello, so I had the same issue on my main account. I managed to solve it, by deleting the 2FA and rejoining when I didn't have it. Just in case, I did not have my discord open on said server, and had it on another one that was irrelevant to me.

Hi, I left a server after a joke then when invited I couldn't join back for being "banned",
I found a way to join back ofc cause of how 5head I am.
My Solution :
Scroll down to "Add a server"
Then "Join a server"
Paste in the link to the server you were banned from after leaving it
You should be in the server after that
This might not work if you were ip banned from inviting an alt-2 -
it happened to me today as well, i can’t join my favorite server..what @cowboy mentioned in his post solved the issue...To remove ALL banned users from the list and VOILA! Try it, hope it works for you too. 😊

Not to be rude or try and undermine other people's ideas here, but for a lot of the people having this issue on bigger servers, the admins simply 'unbanning everyone' is NOT a feasible option.

I still have this problem even though I tried all the various "solutions" mentioned here. Nothing has worked for me so far. :(
After many screenshots given to support that shows I "left" (even though I didn't!); and that I/my IP wasn't banned; and that all this happened in a 4 minute span after activating 2FA since their new community feature forced me to activate it (cuz im a mod), the only answer from support was basically: "sorry, we don't have a solution for you. The only solution is for the server to clear all bans and make sure your IP isn't banned/blacklisted..." *rolling eyes* I doubt that would even solve the problem! And I totally agree with Lily's comment just above: depending on the server you are banned from they could have hundreds of bans on serious offenders/bots. It is ridiculous to ask them to clear all bans..
So, no help coming it seems, even though this happened only because they force it on Mods.. Unacceptable!0 -
It might have changed since I originally had the issue but in short you need to wait a couple of weeks and then remove the phone number by linking it to another account, because when I experienced the problem there was no option to just remove phone verification.

same thing here, my account has been disabled for suspicous behavour and i made a new account and i cant join it beacuase im banned even though i havent joined it before

Hey, same thing happened to me.
I'd used VPN on a server and logged in through an alt, and my friend banned me.
No issues. More investigation done, and for some reason exactly 30 days after I joined the server was the time I was banned.
Tried clearing cache, going on a different VPN, etc. Don't know why this is. I think Discord could possibly run a check-up on accounts with other accounts banned on their IP and bans them after 30days. I don't know though, anything I could do?

Hello, i've found a solution to the problem. As another individual said, go to file explorer, you will see "quick access" press it, backspace it so the bar is blank, then type in %APPDATA%/Discord/Cache. Then next what you're gonna have to do is install cache monkey https://cachemonkey.app/ can be found here. (It's safe) Once downloaded, you want to do scan cache, it will be at the top. After scanning all images should appear on right side of the page, it's gonna take around 3 minutes or so to scan everything. There will be a big red button below saying purge and dump. Once you click that it will purge and dump all of the caches leaving you with 3 files named data. Post the invite and it should be working again! If you wanna keep 2FA, I recommend turning on 2FA, before you begin the steps. Hey guys I have found the solution that will work for some of you. It will only work if you had an alt banned from the server. Ask an admin to unban your alt and you should be able to join back. If your main and alt account are both verified with the same phone number, this should work. (I don't know if anyone has already comment this solution)

this happened to my friend, she was kicked not banned, but it doesnt let her back in. i hope discord fixes it!!

I FOUND A WAY TO FIX IT!!!
none other solutions worked for me, only this. we tried many things, my friend even made an alt, still didnt work. (which means she was IP banned.)
what i did is went into the server in which wouldnt let my friend back in, i copied their ID, which you need Developer Mode on for this. ( Settings>Appearance>Scroll down > Developer mode turn on) for pc. but on mobile, youll need to click ''Behaviour'' instead of appearance to find it.
to do that i had to search for a message where they were previously tagged before they were gone from the server, right clicked on their tag, and pressed ''Copy ID'') for example the ID will look something like this: '987689643869736803'
after copying their ID, because i am the owner, i used the Dyno bot and did ?ban 987689643869736803 and after ?unban 987689643869736803
This resetted the system, making it so they are unbanned and she could join again!

The way i fixed this is by having a VPN connection to any region and then joining through an invite link on my main account. Hope it helps you guys.

This happened to one of my staff... Her brother joined my discord server and started hating on mangle (aka the staff). Mangle is sensitive so she left the server—
After I had banned her brother and asked Mangle to re join, so of course I sent her the invite but it said SHE was banned..
We tried refreshing sending new invites etc.
I have not banned her at all. So she said “unban my brother and I will just chat from there” so I did and suddenly she could join.
I think its because they used the same email/number to verify their phones.

so i was in a server called "that place" and i left because i needed to do m HW (long story) but when i tried rejoining the server it said i was banned! pls help because i have no idea how i got banned and also i cant get back in since i have no contacts form the server

Hey if anyone’s having a problem you might only be banned from a channel so try getting invited from a different channel if not good luck

So I was in a server and my friend used a bot to test a ban thing on me but they unbanned me and I got ip banned from the server now no longer can join it and it is very upsetting if anyone has had a problem like this please contact me at Josuke Higashikata#8619 I got banned with the meep6 bot and have been trying to unban but it says I’m still in the server and haven’t been banned
