DiscordSetup.exe downloads but doesn't install windows desktop app

I have attempted downloading the Discord windows desktop app multiple times, each time resulting in an installation error. Is this a problem with my device or with the download file? What are the suggested fixes?

    I am having this problem to, but the first time i downloaded it, it worked. Now it gives me an error saying there is something wrong and the download is not compatible even though im on windows 7.
