Low-res images stretched and blurry on mobile. very ugly.
This issue may have been mentioned in a different post before, but I haven't found any with a title that clearly describes the issue.
This issue is a massive pain for the artistic community.
I don't understand why it needs to be a feature in the first place. it serves no purpose other than to create more work, annoyance and confusion for every pixel artist or emoji artist that uses discord.
When I post an image that is 32x32 or 52x52 (the intended size for end-use by customers), I want it to show in that resolution, just like it does on desktop. However, on Mobile, it blows the image up to a ridiculous size with bad compression artifacts, completely wrecking the art I worked hard on and am trying to show people...
The only way around this, currently, is to make a second render of the image just for discord in 4-8 times the resolution, just so discord doesn't make it look like garbage.
This causes headaches all day between artists and customers on desktop and mobile not seeing the same thing while in the same channel... and only serves to cause MORE stress on Discord's servers as artists have to work around the issue by posting larger files.
Please, just make Mobile handle small-res images the same way Desktop does... please...

I just discovered this problem myself. This is extremely annoying! Is there a way to use a different image for mobile? Is there a minimum size I have to use before discord starts to distort my images?

My guess is that this is a function of Mobile operating systems. Since the screens tend to be small, they increase certain graphic sizes by default.
