One-time Nitro start date recovery
I'd like to share a small feature suggestion related to Nitro subscription history.
Some users (including myself) were Nitro subscribers for a long time in the past, but had to cancel at some point for temporary reasons. When subscribing again later, the original Nitro start date is permanently lost, even though the account clearly shows older Nitro usage.
If we re-subscribe to the current one in a short time, of course, even though the date goes back, this was not possible for some people.
My suggestion is a one-time, optional recovery option, possibly offered for a small one-time fee, with a few clear rules:
- Only available to users who had Nitro before
- Only visible while the user has an active Nitro subscription
- Can be used once per account
- Restores the first-ever Nitro start date on the account
This wouldn’t be a recurring feature or a permanent perk. It would simply allow users to restore their original Nitro start date as a form of historical correction, not as an advantage over others.
Since it would be optional, one-time only, and tied to the earliest verified Nitro date, it should avoid abuse and wouldn’t negatively affect new users or those with uninterrupted subscriptions.
I think this could be a fair and simple way to acknowledge long-term support, while still making sense from a business point of view.
I made my suggestion and I hope it will be implemented in the future or in the near future. If it is implemented one day, Discord will improve this feature.
