@anyone Is in fact not a discord command. As for the command you're actually talking about, you can right click any sever, open "Notification settings" and click "suppress @everyone and @here" So there's no need for the feature you're requesting.

I know it is not a command, which is why I am suggesting it. There are people who get mad when you do @everyone, so I figured this would be a good thing to have instead. I thought of this because I am in a server where there are usually people who are looking for help, but @everyone is not allowed. Having @anyone would be good because you can choose whether or not you'll get pinged, but still have things like @everyone ping you.

You can already accomplish the same thing with customized server roles. So I don't see any reason another default command is needed.

I do know this, but I figured this would just be easier because you don't need to ask for a role to be added or removed every time, and it makes it easier for the mods too. I understand that you could have a bot to do this, but I don't think many servers would use it, and in my own server I would prefer to not have any bots.

Miniminimum  You could do that with reaction roles. A lot of servers have a channel filled with "roles" and you can simply go through and react to the ones you want for the role, or remove your reaction to remove the role. That way members would be able to assign and remove roles from themselves within that limits of what can be reacted to. Obviously you wouldn't include roles with special administrative permissions, but it would definitely work fine for use as an "Opt in for pings"

A game community I'm in has a role called "Bell" and you just click to react and you're given the bell role. Anytime someone pings @bell everyone who's reacted will get the ping, and you can turn it off later if the pings become annoying.

This does sound really smart, but I do not quite understand how it works though. Does the person get a role when they react or something?
