Automatic username discriminator randomization

I changed my username on discord and accidently had the same username-discriminator combination as someone else, which made discord automatically randomize my discriminator without my knowledge. I concluded that someone else already had the combo after asking a friend to intentionally rename his username to an existing name with identical discriminator and seeing that it worked. I was really unhappy with the new discriminator I was given, and had my previous one for over 2 years. When going back to my previous account name it kept the new discriminator. When trying to at least randomizing it to something better discord suddenly denied the name change with an error message "too many people already have this username" (even after i tried picking several unique names with my discriminator). It also didnt work for my friend. What then upset me the most is that after contacting discord, asking to have back my old discriminator, a moderator first said they unfortunately aren't able to provide manual changes to an account's discriminator and "discriminator farming" (which i think is pretty much what i was about to do) apparently violates their ToS, which can lead them to take action, including changing the user's discriminator or disabling the account. Yeah I'm not stupid: So they indeed can provide manual changes. I didnt intend to change my discriminator in the first place, so first of all why don't they change it back to my old one? And second of all why does discord automatically change your discriminator the first time you try to stack with someone else's without even asking for your agreement? I wish this automatic randomization either to be disabled for all non-nitro users or (whats rather unnecessary) limited, like right now but with a warning asking for your permission to randomize. Since I dislike the idea to buy nitro to get back my previous discriminator that was changed by coincidence in the first place, I also want to include an option to return back to your most recent previous discriminator, if its available on your username and you didnt change it like ages ago.
