Profile banner upload crashing Discord

Not sure why, but whenever I try to upload a GIF banner that is exactly the recommended dimensions, Discord crashes and restarts. I've tried resizing the gif I'm trying to use, but it's too large any other way. I've been trying to work around this issue for 2 days now, so I hope someone can help solve this isseue.
