Role icon infront of username

so I just started using the new role icon feature and think that it is a great option that got added. I only don't get why the icon shows up after someone's username and not in front?

Now at the right side where the member list is it looks really clean, but when people type something it chat it looks so chaotic and it's just a real bummer.

Isn't it possible to make an option in the server settings where you can select if you want it in front of peoples usernames? I think that would look way better and more people will use it like that.
