lets go gamers! nitro cancelled, crypto can suck it

I first bought my nitro subscription when I heard discord had turned down microsoft's bid. I thought, wow, thank goodness. That's a decision I'd like to support!

It's very unfortunate but as an artist, and especially as a Neopets user still reeling from their ridiculous, unwanted NFT venture while their website stagnates in a sad, mostly broken state, I will not give money to support something like NFTs or cryptocurrency.

To those of you who support this decision and consider us resisting the future, or misunderstanding what crypto is, or that we are a vocal minority... well, you're in a pyramid scheme. The onus is on all of you to actually market crypto to us, the plebs. And guess what, every person I've spoken to has done a horrible job about pitching it to me.

If you want this 'future', you'd better start being louder than us. You better start holding your corporations accountable for actually, *actually* implementing greener alternatives, making your community better, stopping the rampant theft of art for the NFT trade. Actually prove to us this is worthwhile, actually market it to the average person.

Until then, I hope Discord listens to its people. I hope this doesn't get quietly added under our noses after the fuss dies down.

I'm proud of how many people I've seen going forward with their cancellations. Good job gamers <3
