Please make the new Event Info block hideable, it's ugly

As the title says, please make those annoying event info boxes above the channel list hideable. It doesn't show any relevant new info on the event other than that it's running and on most servers, the related channels are at the top of the list anyway, so it's totally redundant! Please give people the option to hide it so they can make better use of the screen real estate that it is blocking off!
