I don't know about the price but They should definitely add localized pricing for India, The current price for Nitro is too high despite being a subscriber.

Agreed! The current price for Nitro is ridiculously high.

For a country where the average salary is ~$4000/year (before Tax deductions), a price for a non-essential service like nitro that is more than $120/year (because the exchange rate that discord provides is realllllly bad). Its 3% of ones salary, and that's not even counting the tax, PF, and etc. deductions which leave you with <$3000/year.

I have a masters degree in civil engineering from the #1 university in the US for civil engineering, and my salary is ~ $2400/year (I work 6 days a week, 9 hours/day. This is the salary I earn before Tax & PF deductions) I lose 50% of pay if I am late for work by more than 10 minutes, and I don't get paid OT for hours we are expected to work beyond regular office hours. It costs me more to get to work and back home every day, but I have to work, right? That's the rhetoric. If I had to purchase a Nitro subscription after that, its not possible. If I had $10/month to spend on nitro, I'd much rather buy food or a better place to live.

It is hilarious that regional pricing in India wasn't one of the first regional pricing they did since we have the 2nd highest population in the world. Discord has ~350 million users globally, and it has been growing in popularity in India for the last 3 years. Especially with NFTs/Crypto becoming popular in India, I feel like the # of indian users is going to grow really fast.

Even turkey, which has a higher average salary (higher by almost $1200/year) has the most affordable regional pricing.

Maybe they aren't adding India as a regional pricing option because they feel the population means they can really milk India dry. Even Amazon, Disney & Netflix have regional pricing in India (which, while still high are much more affordable than the pricing elsewhere).

Why isn't this implemented yet in India? Nitro is ridiculously priced in India. It's day light milking of Indian users...
