Please stop changing the display in useless and annoying ways.

Please do not put multiple images together into a 2x2 square, because it crops them incorrectly and hides parts of the images. Also nobody asked you to do that. We were happy with how it used to be.

Please do not round off the corners of images, because that also hides parts of the image, especially for tiny images. Nobody asked you to change that. We were happy with it.

Please do not move the favorites star to a different corner of the gif. It throws people off, and it's not even in the same corner in every place now. In the gif select menu it's still in the old corner. Nobody asked you to change that. This is a real nuisance.

Please do not change the font. I do not like my familiar experience to be changed by some corporate strangers. It makes me uncomfortable. Also changing it made everything look slightly off for several days. Nobody asked you to do this.

Please do not change the stuff I enjoy for no reason. Spend your time doing something useful. Stop wasting time and messing up what's already perfectly fine and enjoyable. If this choice came from lower level workers, they should get in trouble because they were wasting company time doing essentially nothing. If this choice came from higher management, I hope the visual design team comes under new management, because they are making garbage changes that are unhelpful and bothersome, for no reason. The visual design is getting worse in every way. There are no upsides to these changes, only downsides.

Maybe all changes should be authorized before being pushed out. Or maybe the team should value the familiarity that users have about the way things are, and avoid making superficial changes except in emergencies.

Something needs to be done or we are going to keep getting bullshit UI changes until the service becomes uninhabitable. It already makes me want to leave.

Agreed. I keep having to roll back updates to prevent this from interfering with my mobile experience, but it’s maddening on desktop. I am shocked that it’s taking them this long to add some sort of off switch on the grid layout, or total removal. This is the most upsetting change they could have made, reading images at a glance is something I shouldn’t have to beg for.

Why can't they add stuff like the ability to add favorite gifs on mobile, or the ability to search from oldest to newest on mobile? Those are functions that actually positively impact the site, and if they look the same as desktop version then they will feel natural and it won't bug that many people.

But instead they keep adding stuff that makes the site less usable and that nobody asked for or ever would have wanted. Whoever is in charge of these decisions needs to learn how to do their job well or let someone else do it.
