Beepy Noises

For me Discord will randomly beep like a got a message, and then when I open the application I cannot find what message was sent. I know it is some message in one of the servers I am a part of, but I have to click almost all the servers to figure out which specific chat has the new message. In short, discord beeps non stop and I would really like to have some sort of notification of where the message is, or be able shut off notifications for everything except DMs. Thanks.
