better phone number verification
Do not use your phone number for a different alt account or you will be punished with an unknown lockout time on your main and will have to use a different phone number that you may not own to verify and log in to your main account this verification step is horrific and should be tweaked by the discord team with a given eta on when you'll be unlocked or with adding a email verification or something if you put a support ticket in all they tell you is that you have to wait essentially this is one of the only really bad flaws I've crossed with discord

Then there's also the problem of people that don't have a phone is essentially screwed out of whatever it is they are trying to do because the system is so discriminative against anything but these expensive mobile phone plans that not everyone can afford.
