[Feature request] - Make ctrl-T open and switch to a new browser tab

Opening a new browser tab is a very common action inspired by things seen in chat - anything from tracking down the relevant XKCD to locating a knowledgebase article.

And half a dozen times a day, my fingers attempt this from the desktop app - to my intense frustration, as this pops up some kind of channel-search instead. 

It would be a lot more useful to make ctrl-T just open and switch to a new tab in your default browser- or at least let this be an optional setting.
